Ralphige Presents Phon'kd Celebrity Crank Calls
Not to brag or anything but I am a Prank call and comedy connoisseur. I've been prank calling people since elementary school and I've pulled some legendary stunts and calls. But I also know about good prank calls because I listen to the best recorded prank callers ever The Jerky Boys (Discography coming in the future). So that will give you a basis of where I am at with the level of prank calls I am used to.

I first heard about this Ralphige guy from reading a magazine either The Source or XXL and I immediately wanted to hear this guys shit and I was so excited for it.

Now this guy Ralphige is unfortunate really. He's got connections somehow to get these celebrities phone numbers and call them which is great. But what he does with the calls is barely touching the surface of funny in my opinion. Yea he does annoy most of his "victims" but its very easy to do that. The art of a funny call is saying funny shit or getting the "victim" to say some funny/embarassing shit or get insanely angry. Ralphige barely accomplishes this at all but instead just says annoying/not creative things over and over until the celebrity hangs up or actually clowns Ralphige. The worst is that this fuck has a real heavy spanish accent and he tries to disguise himself as other people sometimes and fails miserably.

You might not agree with me at all and think that these calls are hilarious and I understand that. You just don't have the same appreciation for good comedy and prank calls like me. I just think I know my shit when it comes to comedy and prank calls and this doesn't do it for me at all. By the way I'm not linking his site in this post cuz he says it every fucking time before one of his calls. Thanks for that too ;)

EDIT: you can access it without every part. each part will open by itself. each part should contain at least 1 extractable episode. its one big folder, with them all in it labeled in order. so for instance part 45 shows ep 86,87,88 and you can pull out ep 87. you can pretty much bank on at least one episode per part, maybe 2

Kyri*s Bio

Kyri*s (Pronounced k-eye-ree-ohs) is a thirty-seven part instrumental
band consisting of DJs, producers and musicians that span from Japan
to the Americas on to Europe. The members come from all walks of life
and contribute different aspects to the Kyri*s sound from programming
to live orchestration to inventing new programs for its members to
use. This is the ultimate musical thinktank and the music they produce
shows the varying degree. Another interesting fact about the group is
no one, not even the members themselves, know the names of their
bandmates--they communicate only through email and the Kyri*s message
board. There are no known photgraphs of the Kyri*s members and they do
no direct press so they are an enigma indeed.

The ...too busy dying to live EP is a product of 7 years worth of work
held to exacting standards and undoubtedly one of the most cinematic
gestures of our time. Each of the six instrumental tracks embody a
different ideal and have literally been sculpted into what you hear
now from hours of work. Not only are the tracks musically different,
even the very listening of each track is a unique experience because
with no label to answer to, the members made each recording decidely
fresh and not being "industry standard".

Culturally you'll find influences from across the globe here and the
rules of how music is made will be thrown out of the window as
unorthodox methods are used in it's stead.

Sandpeople


Crews aren't all the rage in hip-hop like they used to be, especially crews hailing from the Pacific Northwest. Sandpeople, a 10-member collective from Portland, Oregon is here to change all that with "Hate Aside," the first official single from their nine-song EP, Long Story, Short... due out May 26 via Sandpeople Music. "Hate Aside" finds crew-members Sapient, ILLmaculate, Iame, and Ethic spitting over an infectious piano loop accompanied by synth sprinklings and dashes of electric guitar. The verses of each speak directly to the work that Sandpeople have put in, tirelessly determined to get the credit they deserve. Sapient, who is also the producer of the crew, spits "I'm trying to take it like it's mine for the taking / Live in the place with divine innovation / Why would you hate this? / That's a sign that your mind's too prideful, spiteful, invasive / There ain't sh- you can say." It sounds like it's time to take note.

The Background:

Since the 2005 release of Sandpeople's debut album, Points of View, the group has seen a growth not only in their own numbers, but also in their rate of musical output. The Sandpeople collective comprises 10 members and several sub-groups, each recording and releasing their own respective works in conjunction with the group projects. The crew's original members include founding member, Mo-B, as well as ILLmaculate, Onlyone, Gold, iame, Al-One, Simple, and DJ Spark. Later, per request of Mo-B, producer Sapient and rapper Ethic joined the original eight. Points Of View, an album recorded over a two-week span, quickly grabbed the attention of music fans everywhere, creating a cult-like following and spreading virally along the west coast and underground hip-hop scene. That buzz lead to a yearlong courtship by Epic Records, which, although not resulting in a deal with the label, proved to be a very influential and educational time for the crew. Outside of the collective, various Sandpeople members have received numerous solo accolades as well. ILLmaculate, a Portland native, was crowned champion of the 2004 Scribble Jam rap battle at the age of 17; TheSaurus won the 2006 and 2007 World Rap Championships hosted by JumpOff.TV; and group producer, rapper, and multi-instrumentalist, Sapient, has garnered recognition from his work with artists such as Tech N9ne, Inspectah Deck, Sean Price, and Aesop Rock, just to name a few. Sandpeople’s newest effort, the aptly titled EP Long Story, Short..., is the product of the insight gained from their major label courtship and their deeply ingrained work ethic and self-imposed high standards, and serves to show the continued growth of the crew, both individually and collectively. Long Story, Short... will be available May 26 via Sandpeople Music.

I actually didn't know they made a movie for G.I. Joe until real recently when someone showed me the YouTube clip of the opening scene. Once I saw that I knew I had to get it and share it with everyone. This shit is a classic.

Warning to idiots: this is not the upcoming G.I. Joe movie that is being promoted to come out 2009/2010. This is old school kickass shit.
