"Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David pitched Seinfeld as a "show about nothing," similar to the self-parodying "show within a show" of Season 4's finale "The Pilot." Seinfeld stood out from the many family and group sitcoms of its time. None of the principal Seinfeld characters were related by blood or worked together but remained close friends throughout the seasons. The episodes of most sitcoms like Family Ties, Who's the Boss and Full House revolve around a central theme or contrived comic situations, whereas many episodes of Seinfeld focused on minutiae, such as waiting in line at the movies, going out for dinner, buying a suit and, basically, coping with the petty injustices of life. The view presented in Seinfeld is arguably consistent with the philosophy of nihilism, the idea that life is pointless." -From Wikipedia

I don't know much about this series. I reviewed a scattered set of episodes over about a five-year window of time and my clarity is fading in a massive mushroom cloud of weed smoke... But I did see a great remake of Seinfeld posted right HERE by Sickest. I recommend his post if you don't like this one. It is kind of a mixture of comedy, romance, and my favorite: Thug Passion. Anyways I posted this at the sole request of Taint and I can tell you he keeps all requests in mind and continues to provide the best material in the widest range of genres possible. This show was guaranteed to make you laugh from beginning to end. Though I feel I may have outgrew this type of humor, it was nonetheless the funniest thing ever to watch for me, as a 10-year old!

Who could forget Carrey as the Firemarshall, a female bodybuilder, or the dorky schoolkid named Parnell; Damon Wayans as Homie the Clown, Men on Film, 'Mo Money(the thieves w/their own TV show), and the homeless dude who carries a pickle jar as a toilet and uses big words to sound smart! What about the gossip queen, who always ends with something like..."so you 'aint heard nothing from me." - Commented from IMDb follow the link above for more.

I remember this vaguely growing up, but if you look at the cast (Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans the most prominent in my mind but there are many others) and where their careers went, you can see the pattern that led to stardom for many and basically served as a landmark in comedy for that time. I have been pushed hard by Taint San to post this and I have all the seasons to date but I can only post these comfortably until I check and organize the rest.
